Head Start Partnerships

New York State's Head Start program provides high quality, comprehensive services to income-eligible families with children from birth to five years of age, through community partnerships, in a caring and secure environment.  Each child is expected to receive a mandatory medical and dental visit.

Head Start partnerships allow children to receive effective dental education and screenings in a comfortable environment.  If children require specific treatment, they are referred to one of our pediatric dental clinics for comprehensive hygiene (cleanings), restorations (fillings), sealants, or additional diagnostic testing.

 Oral Health Screenings

Approximately 18,000 patients (many of whom do not have dental insurance) ranging from age 1 - 18 receive dental education and dental screenings throughout Western New York public and private primary and secondary schools through our program.  If children require specific treatment, they are referred to one of our pediatric dental clinics for comprehensive hygiene (cleanings), restorations (fillings), sealants, or additional diagnostic testing.
