This is one of the best departments of oral biology in the world. My interest was tissue engineering. I was sure I was going to be able to do anything I wanted because of the flexibility of the department. It is open to any research possible.
I really learned so much from Libuse Bobek. It's uncommon for a student to have a patent with his mentor. The patent is a new approach for bone regeneration in a variety of clinical situations, from tibial fracture to even treatment of osteoporosis, joint and hip replacement, and also the dental aspect. It allows for minimal invasive surgery. It’s an injectable material, very unique. This is very exciting.
