Because we have people who work on bones or tissues, students have the opportunity to work with multiple disciplines. To be successful as a scientist these days, you need to be working across multiple disciplines. You also get the opportunity to work with real clinicians and real clinical samples. I think that’s very critical for students getting their PhDs.
The environment here is all very collegial and collaborative. People are very supportive and helpful. Nobody here is a prima donna and doesn’t play well with others. Everything is here for students to survive and do well.
