Every student has a primary mentor and a committee that is composed of at least three other members of the faculty who guide the students throughout the five or six years of study that it takes. This student has to meet with the committee once a semester and report on the progress.
While our program is quite flexible, we strive to train students for successful academic or research careers in oral biology/biomedical sciences through the selection of appropriate courses that provide the fundamentals of scientific knowledge. The environment is research intensive with diverse research expertise in state-of-the-art biomedical research facilities.
