Research Profile

My laboratory has spend the past twenty years developing technology related to image acquisition of x-rays and processing digital images of films. The prime focus has been on subtraction radiography. For that purpose we have developed a patient alignment system which has been patented for obtaining x-rays taken with the same projection geometry. Our present emphasis is to apply this technology to clinical therapeutic studies in which alveolar bone change is the primary outcome variable. Furthermore, we are interested in ways to bring this technology into the dental office.
