Clinical Specialty/PhD
Combined clinical specialty/PhD training is also available and is administered jointly by the School of Dental Medicine clinical departments and the Department of Oral Biology. Upon completion of this program, graduates receive both certification in a chosen specialty and the PhD degree. Additional information about clinical specialties that may be pursued in conjunction with the doctoral program (e.g. endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program, and Advanced Education Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology) may be obtained by writing to the program director of that specialty (www.sdm.buffalo.edu/programs).
