Application Procedure

To be eligible for the General Practice Residency an applicant must have graduated from a CODA accredited dental school in the United States or Canada and obtained a DDS or DMD degree. Applicants must have either a New York State license, or be eligible for a Limited Permit (requires successful completion of the National Boards Parts I & II) to practice dentistry. After residents are selected, assistance will be given to complete the application process for a Limited Permit in time for the start of the program.

This program participates in the National Matching Service (NMS) and the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS). Applicants must complete and submit the PASS Application and also register for the Match through thte PASS website. The agencies may be contacted as follows:

The application deadline is November 15.  PASS generally requires that all application materials are received two weeks prior to the program deadline.

Please note: Successful international applicants must qualify for an appropriate visa for the duration of the program ands comply with prerequisites for licensure as a dentist in New York State.
