Faculty Profile:
Dr. Wells received a DDS from The University at Buffalo in 1994, and a
Pediatric and Community Dentistry certificate from The University at Buffalo in 2000.
After undergraduate and graduate school, Dr. Wells chose to pursue an academic career in dentistry, whereas she teaches pre- and
post- doctoral students.
Dr. Dian is couse director for a manditory course to Freshman, "Profession, Practice, and Community" whereby students learn ethics, community program development, and the importance of serving the communities in which they serve. Each student must design a program within Western New York in the area of community dentistry. Students also are actively engaged in community outreach programs.
Dr. Wells is a Clinical Assistant Professor primarily at Women and Children's Hospital, but rotates throughout the Pediatric and Community Dentistry department's other clinics. Dr. Wells also actively participates in community dentistry's community programs and projects throughout the year.
In addition, Dr. Wells serves as Chairwoman for the School of Dental Medicine's Minority Affairs Committee.
